Anyone out there have a Ski Doo with the new 850? Curious to hear any reports good or bad. Don't really need that much engine, but wondering if the new chassis it comes in is significantly better.

My friend has 2017 850 renegade rode with him Wensday from camp in Newcomb to IL trails. He loves it!!!! I have first hand experience trying to chase him down on my 16 600ho tnt. It is one bad b??ch in my opinion. I guess only concern so far is secondary getting hot, but they are figuring them out to cool down by modifying belt guards to cool off better. Know of two others that have ordered their's already. Cant lie I am thinking about it but hard to give up gas mileage on mine.

I have a 600 etec also. Plenty of power for me and I love the fuel economy. The new gen4 chassis the 850 comes in is what interests me. That and the 850 is supposed to be designed to last like a 4 stroke.

I bought one last year....850 TNT MXZ 850....I love it..i have heard of belts overheating due to limited cooling in that compartment...but other then that...it handles the bumps nicely...excellent around corners and tracks exceptionally well....definitely not a sled for a beginning rider.....studded it this past summer....

I just bought one and absolutely love it. Coming off a 800 e-tec, this 850 is so smooth. The new chassis is super, handles perfectly. Great gas mileage too

Couldn’t say about the 850etec but my 09 600Etec with just over 2000 miles is at Progresive motor sports in need of a new engine. Mag side crank seal went bad. Looking at $2400/$2600 repair bill. I’m in my mid 50’s and a sit down cruiser. NEVER AGAIN with an Etec. Look on DooTalk and other sites. Many similar stories. Love the 500SS or 600 carb though.
