 Post subject: 09 dragon smoking ECM

Location: middle grove/lake desolation
Dash lights and headlight flickering. No power, smoke pouring from ecm. Anybody got a clue? Bone stock low miles. Upgraded my boys sled to avoid "garage" time. Cant catch a break

ill state the obvious, ecm is shot, however we need to find the reason why, bad gounds anywhere? or could it just be a fluke bad ecm. test the voltage within the system so you can rule out too high/too low voltage regulator. i personally have never heard of this.

Bad voltage regulator. Over charging

usually when they go, they allow nothing and everything goes dead. nevertheless thats good...cheap fix, is the ecm still serviceable after smoking?
