I come to the Speculator area a few times every year, and I'm never disapointed. I always hit Perkins, a little tree farm, back across the lakes to the Oxbow for lunch, and down Powley Rd for a great ride. I'm coming up Sunday, and I want to try a new adventure. I've ridden the length of Indian Lake, but I don't know where to go from there. If I were looking for a great burger and beer, similar to what I would find at the Oxbow, where would I go in Indian Lake? I've heard of Swifty's , but I see they're closed on Sunday. Also, it looks like when I get off the north end of Indian Lake, I follow the trail for a few miles and then take a right to get to the village. Is that right? Where might be a nice ride from there? Not real far, because I still want to spend time in Perkins Clearing. -Thanks

I'll have to try it next time. This time the "rafters burger" at the oxbow inn won. I had cheeseburgers dancing in my head so I headed that way. It made for a nice after lunch spin down powley road and the wagoner loop

All D.R.A.G. general membership meetings are held on weekends so members who live out of town can attend. D.R.A.G. is the ONLY NYSSA snowmobile club that maintains and grooms trails in Speculator,.....????

You can't go wrong with the food at Indian Lake Restaurant and Tavern. Their burgers are the bomb!
