I took a hike on Slide Mt in the Catskills on Saturday. Still near a foot and a half of snow under the balsams around the summit, and north slope. The lower summits with no leaves on the trees were hot, very dry, and bug infested.

I walked down the Fawn Lake Trail yesterday. Still a little ice on the trail near some of the water spots.

I don't see any ice on the lakes. Ice out was last week of April for most of the larger ones.
