Piseco looked pretty black and Oxbow was partly out when I went by yesterday. At 5PM Sacandaga is mostly out. Ice still in Aird's Bay, yesterday most of the lake was still ice. Ken Hinkley (Dunn's Boat Service) reports Big Moose and Raquette just went out.

Actually, the ice went out on Sacandaga today except for a little in Aird's Bay. Last Sunday it was still solid and I took a short spin around the bay.

How was this season in general? I've spent some time in the area a few years back. It was awesome.

We had a major melt-down with tons of rain towards the end of February and it was not looking good. But then we had a good snowstorm and cold weather and the rest of March was very good. If we didn't have the heavy rain, even if we did have very warm weather, the end of the season would have bee really awesome and it probably would have lasted in to mid-April.
