We groomed the trail last weekend. The center section of the trail between the lake and the clearing is closed due to logging,it's a temporary closing for about 2 weeks. Running spy lake is the only option right now to get to the powley road and the oxbow . I'll let everyone know when the section is back open

By now the lake should be safe but with slush. Cant hug the shore as a crick comes in from the north side after you get around the point coming from Rt 10. And its deep enough to lose a sled and the rider.
Don't go till you see a whole bunch of hardened tracks up the middle.
Any body know about Piseco. Ice thickness ? Fisher men ? Shantys ? ATVS ?

Sacandaga, Lake Pleasant, Oxbow, Fall all being ridden for a couple of days now. sHigh temps have been below +10 sometimes only around zero for several days. Snow on the lakes either turned to slush and froze or has been packed by the wind to only an inch. I would not worry about riding on Spy.

Mike O told us Saturday night that the log job was done on the Spy Lake trail along the lake. The logger told Mike, He didn't know there was a snowmobile trail in there. No body told him. That's got to be a mess.
